Staying at the Polynesian, then catching the Dream. We have reservations at Ohana at 9:25 the same day we cruise.Help! They say transfer to the ship starts at 10am and we don't want to cancel our Ohana experience. How long will breakfast take?Any suggestions

    Hi, Patricia!

It sounds like you have an awesome Land and Sea adventure on the horizon!

When staying at a WDW Resort before your cruise, you'll receive a letter in your room the night before your sail date. The letter will contain all the details you'll need regarding ground transportation to the port. You'll receive Disney Cruise Line luggage tags, and Bell Services will begin luggage pickup around 8am. Departure times for the DCL motorcoaches will vary, depending on the number of cruisers leaving from each resort. On our last Land and Sea vacation, we met the bus around 10:45, and arrived at the Cruise Terminal around noon. While it's possible your departure time will be later than 10am, you won't know your exact departure instructions/time until you receive your letter.

With a 9:25am reservation for 'Ohana (and depending on your departure time), If you weren't able to be seated right away, you run the risk of being late for your transportation. They ask that you arrive about 15-20 minutes before your scheduled time, and they'll start loading the bus in order to leave right on time. Breakfast at 'Ohana is a laid-back experience, with food served family-style at your table. Characters rotate through the restaurant for photo-ops and autographs at each table, so dining there does take some time. You definitely want to be able to relax and enjoy the experience!

I encourage you to try and move your dining reservation to an earlier time slot if possible, just in case you have an early departure time from the resort. If you're unable to make an earlier reservation before your trip, you can always check for cancellations once you arrive. Another option would be to schedule private transportation to the port by town car. For further assistance with your dining reservations, you can call Disney Dining directly at (407) WDW-DINE.

I hope this helps. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
