We are staying at the Polynesian in late April for the first time. When Magic Kingdom has an early EMH, will the monorail at the TTY be running early, if so what time? I would like get to the park before 8:00 EMH opening.

    Hi Mary,

My family absolutely loves Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The zero-entry Lava Pool with its 142-foot slide is one of the best in all of Walt Disney World Resort; get ready for an unforgettable vacation!

During your trip, Magic Kingdom Park will have Extra Magic Hours on the morning of Friday, April 29, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. The Resort Monorail should start running at 7:00 a.m. on that day (confirm with a Cast Member upon arrival, as the Monorail Schedule does change). You can pick up the Resort Monorail on the second floor of the Great Ceremonial House (the lobby) or the Transportation and Ticket Center (just a short walk away). I confirmed with a Cast Member that Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will provide bus transportation if the Resort Monorail is not operating early on a day when Magic Kingdom Park has early morning Extra Magic Hours, so rest assured you will get to the park by 8:00 a.m.

You have other options as well! There's a boat launch right at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and a Ferryboat launch at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Both should start operating around 30 minutes before Magic Kingdom Park opens (including on mornings with Extra Magic Hours). Be sure to check with a Cast Member when you arrive at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to confirm the operating schedules.

I hope this answers your question, Mary. Wishing you a magical trip!
