Staying at Polynesia in September (first time staying on property). Can someone please explain the pros and cons of using resort monorail, boat, and walking to TTC monorail? Is one way faster or more efficient?

    Hi Jill,

Having stayed at the Polynesian, there are lots of ways to get to and from this fun resort.

The monorail travels clockwise from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary to Ticket and Transportation to the Polynesian and then the Grand Floridian. If you are heading to the Magic Kingdom, the monorail is quickest into the park. However, returing from the Magic Kingdom, the boat launches are quicker even though they stop at the Grand Floridian first. This is true at closing of the Magic Kingdom because everyone is trying to get on the monorail.

Depending on your room location, it might be quicker to walk to and from the Ticket and Transportation to your room. In addition, you can walk to the Grand Floridian in about 10 minutes.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
