Staying at Poly, can I select fastpass+ for the same ride one day and again when we return to the park two days later on the same trip? For example, my son loves Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Can we book FP+ for it on our first and last days in MK?

    Hi Karen,

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is my very favorite ride at Walt Disney World. Like your son, I try to ride it at least once on every visit to Magic Kingdom.

You absolutely can book the same ride or attraction on multiple days with FastPass+. You just can't book the same ride more than once in a single day.

My strategy for the most popular rides is to book my FastPass+ for the afternoon, when the lines tend to be longer. That way, if you arrive at the park at opening time, you can head to your favorite as soon as guests are allowed into the park and hop on while the wait is short.

If you are night owls, you also might want to take advantage of the late night Extra Magic Hours to get in more ride time. I like Big Thunder Mountain even more in the dark. The lines tend to be minimal after Wishes.

During our visit over Thanksgiving, when we were staying at the Polynesian, we would watch Wishes from the resort, then hop on the monorail back to Magic Kingdom. My daughter and I walked right onto Big Thunder Mountain several nights after 11 p.m. One night, we got in all three mountains -- Big Thunder, Space and Splash -- between 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help. And enjoy the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness!
