    Staying at Poly in April. Usually stay at SOG, so not very familiar with DDP. Not sure if it would be feasible. Have DDs 4 and 11 who are very picky and usually don't eat very much. Don't know if it would be worth the money. Advice? Thanks a bunch!

    Jennifer,

    I am a big fan of the Disney Dining Plan. However I have two younger girls who also are not big eaters. As such, I really can't make the cost of the Disney Dining Plan work out for our family. I would guess that you are probably in the same boat as me.

    So you have two ways to go about this;

    First, you can just assume that we are similar, and not do the dining plan.

    Second, you could actually figure out if it is a savings for you.

    What I do every other trip or so is go online, look at each menu for each restaurant and figure out what we will order. I work up a simple spreadsheet, add in taxes and tips where needed, and then get to the bottom line of what we would spend if we were not on the dining plan. Then we see what the plan would cost. We figure out what would be covered, what would not, and then make the decision if it is right for us.

    When I have been on adult only trips, it has worked out. When I have taken my girls, it has not. That is the simple math of it.

    I am glad to help with any follow-up questions (including about the Polynesian!). Just send me a question from my bio page!

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
