If staying at the Poilynesian, how can I get to Whispering Canyon? I would prefer to take a boat but I'm not sure how to rent one. Thanks in advance for answering all my questions - this is my first time planning.

Getting from the Polynesian to the Whispering Canyon Cafe is an easy two-step process. First, go from the Poly to the Magic Kingdom, then go from the Magic Kingdom to the Wilderness Lodge.

You could get from the Poly to MK either by the monorail or via a boat from the Poly. Once you're at the MK, you'll transfer to a boat to the Wilderness Lodge. Neither leg of this trip takes very long, and the signage directing you is quite good. As the crow flies, these resorts are quite near each other, but because of the configuration of the Disney transportation system, you will need to make the transfer.

There is no charge for the boats you will take to get to the Wilderness Lodge. These are regular Disney transport boats that run continuously every 15 or 20 minutes throughout the day. The boats seat about 30 guests. You don't need to rent them or make reservations.

There are different, smaller boats that are available to rent at the Polynesian, but these are for recreation rather than transportation. For more information about renting a recreational boat at the Poly, call 407-WDW-PLAY.

Have a wonderful trip to Walt Disney World.
