We are staying at OKW is September 2009 for 14 nights. I would like to know if it is possible to walk to Typhoon Lagoon from the resort as we will not have a car. Thank you.

Typhoon Lagoon is over a mile away from Old Key West. There are no walking paths between the two, only large circuitous and fairly dangerous roads. No worries though. There is plentiful free transportation between Old Key West and Typhoon Lagoon, as well as to all the other Disney attractions. Buses run approximately every 20 minutes and are clean and comfortable.

My guess is that you're going to become very familiar with the Disney transportation system. All of WDW is approximately 40 square miles -- about the size of San Francisco. As an example of the scale you're dealing with, the Magic Kingdom is approximately 5 miles from the Animal Kingdom, as the crow flies. It's probably more like seven miles if you traveled on roads. Even if you wanted to walk it, there are no sidewalks or pedestrian byways. The Disney transportation system does a great job of getting guests to these disparate locations in the most efficient way possible.

If you need help finding your way around, just ask any Disney cast member. They're happy to help.
