Staying at OKW and read the villas are very spread out. Are the buses to the parks and the pool near the Hospitality House? My mother has trouble walking and I wanted to request a location that would be best for her (I know this wouldn't be guaranteed.)

    Hi Michele,

My family loves Old Key West Resort.  The property is beautiful and reminiscent of a vacation in the Caribbean or Keys.  In my opinion, the key lime pie at Olivia's is the best on Disney property!  The villas are enormous, and perfect for a family who enjoys having extra space on vacation!

You are correct that Old Key West is a large property.  There are actually a number of pool areas, and bus stops located throughout the resort, so no matter where you stay, you won't be far from a stop or a swim!  However, there are several villas located near the Hospitality House and main pool area.  If you think staying near the Hospitality House would make your mom's experience better, I would absolutely recommend requesting a villa in this area, and letting the cast member who assists you with your reservation know the reason for your request.  It will be noted on your reservation, and every effort will be made to accommodate you.  In addition, I would recommend following up with a phone call to the resort about three or four days before you arrive to ensure that your request is noted.  Like every Disney resort, Old Key West has accessible villas, so if your mom requires such an accommodation, be sure to mention this as well.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
