We are staying offsite. Shuttle or park? Other attractions in Orlando to see? how long does it take to see magic kingdom? I have a 7 year old girl... what is a must see and a must do thanks.

    Hi Ellen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

If your hotel offers shuttle service to the theme parks, using that service would save you the trouble and cost of parking. Review the Parking guide at the Walt Disney World Resort to see more information on fees and parking options. Be sure to check with your hotel to inquire about shuttle times and pay attention to the earliest shuttle drop-off and latest shuttle pick-up. If you drive your own vehicle, you will be able to come and go at your convenience. Be aware that the parking lots at the Walt Disney World Resort are expansive so you may not simply be able to park and enter the park in 10 minutes.

To take a look at other Orlando attractions, I suggest that you check out Visit Orlando or TripAdvisor. On two prior visits, we spent an additional week in the Orlando area to take our girls to Camp Kennedy Space Center. They had an amazing experience during the day and we toured the area in the late afternoon.

Ellen, if you have not already planned to spend time at Disney Springs, definitely do so - the restaurants and activities are extensive. We are excited about dining at T-Rex this summer on our next family trip. Your 7-year old daughter might also enjoy visiting with Disney Princesses at Walt Disney World Resort. We generally take two days to see Magic Kingdom - we make our Fast Pass+ selections for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Speedway, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! We also make dining reservations at Be Our Guest and The Crystal Palace.

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
