Staying offsite. Going to MK on a day that has extra magic hours 7-8 AM. No FP for the Seven Dwarfs avail. Banking on it as our 1st ride after rope drop. With EMH how will it affect our chances of being able to hit our 1st FP 0910-1010 for Big Thunder?

    Hi Julia,

With your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort less than one month away, I bet you're counting down the days to all of the magic and fun! It will be here before you know it, and I'm SO excited for you!

My best advice for being able to experience Seven Dwarfs Mine Train as soon as Magic Kingdom Park opens to all Guests at 8:00 a.m. would be to make sure that you arrive plenty early. You'll want to have time to park your vehicle, ride the tram to the Transportation and Ticket Center, go through security, take the monorail or a ferry over to the entrance, and scan your ticket before you're ready to head down Main Street U.S.A. to begin your magical day. I'd suggest arriving at least 45-60 minutes before the park's official opening. While I can't know for sure what the crowd levels will be like that day, my guess is that if you're there early enough, you'll be able to wait in the standby line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and still make it to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in time to enjoy your FastPass+ selection. Just be sure to check the posted wait time to be certain you'll have enough time!

If the line happens to be too long or you're nervous that you might miss your first FastPass+ time, I do have another tip for you. As long as you're in an attraction's queue before the theme park closes, you'll be able to ride it that night. So if you aren't able to experience Seven Dwarfs Mine Train when you first arrive, you could always end your day with this super fun attraction!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Julia, and please come see us again if you have any other questions as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
