We're staying off-property (Grand Hilton Vacation I-Drive); have car and dinner reservations @ Chef Mickeys. How do we get there? Go to MK, park, and use DW transportation? Drive to resort? Help!

    Hi Katie,

I have done this many times during our trips and I find that driving directly to The Contemporary Resort is by far the easiest.  Yes, you can drive to Magic Kingdom and take the monorail to the Contemporary, but then you will have to pay a parking fee (seeing as you are staying off-site).  If you drive directly to the resort, you will go through a security gate and here you tell them you are going to eat at Chef Mickey's.  You will receive a complimentary parking pass for approximately 3 hours, in which time you can enjoy your dining experience and have a stroll around the resort, maybe even do a bit of shopping in the gift shops located here.  Enjoy yourselves, you may want to venture upstairs to the Arcade (we always visit the arcade for some fun after dinner).

    Have a magical day!
