    Shannon from MI Asked

We are staying off site and were wondering how we can get Magic bands if we are not staying at a Disney resort. How much do they cost? and is it extra for Fast plus if we are not staying at a Disney resort? looking for prices so we can budget it out.

Shannon, MagicBands have made a day in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks so much easier for me – no more shuffling through a lanyard to find cards and tickets! Everything I need, from FastPass+ selections, theme park tickets and Memory Maker, is stored online right in My Disney Experience, which we have access to via our linked MagicBands. As a Guest staying off-site, you can also utilize this technology. Some off-site Guests do choose to pre-purchase one of the basic MagicBands online at www.DisneyStore.com/MagicBands so that they can link it to their My Disney Experience account from home.  You can wait to purchase one at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel or theme park, at which time Guest Relations can assist you in linking your tickets and MagicBands to your My Disney Experience account. There is a much wider selection of MagicBands in the parks and hotels, including my favorite ones themed to Minnie Mouse and Stitch! The pricing of MagicBands does vary, but most I have seen range from $12.95 - $24.95.

FastPass+ is a free service provided to all Guests, whether or not they are staying at one of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Guests that are staying off-site will be able to begin making their FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance of their visit to any of the theme parks. Guests staying on-site can begin making their selections 60 days from the date of their Resort check-in.

I hope you have a great trip, Shannon, and please let me know if you have any further questions!
