We will be staying off site Dec 4-11. Is it possible to visit the resorts to see the decorations even if you don't stay on Disney property? If so, can we travel by monorail to each?

    Hi Kim,

The holidays are a wonderful time to resort-hop and enjoy all of the truly spectacular decorations throughout Walt Disney World.  The parks are beautiful, but the lobbies at each of the Disney Resorts are also bound to put you in the Christmas spirit!  You can absolutely take the monorail to any of the three properties on the monorail line (Contemporary, Grand Floridian and Polynesian) from either the Magic Kingdom or Ticket and Transportation Center to look at their decorations, grab a bite to eat or shop.  You don't have to be a guest to do so.  You can use Disney buses and/or boats to travel to the other resorts depending upon where you are starting from.  If you happen to be at Epcot, for example, the lobbies of the BoardWalk Inn and Yacht & Beach Club are a short walk away from the International Gateway exit of the park.  If you are at Hollywood Studios, you can ride a boat to either of these properties to enjoy the decorations.  If you are interested in seeing Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you can hop on a boat from the Magic Kingdom.  There is no transportation between resorts, so unless you have a rental car, or want to take a taxi, I would recommend taking a trip from whatever theme park you are visiting.

    Have a magical holiday trip!
