Hi. We are staying in October with 2 very picky light eaters ages 6 and 11. My 11 year old is very disapointed that she can't order off the kids menu..... In your opinion is the kids menu enough for them to share?

    Hi Lori,

This is my one "disappointment" with Disney (as well as all other theme parks) is that there is no junior pricing for those children between 9-15. I know my children could still eat off of the children's menu and be completely happy.

I do not think there is enough food for your children to share a meal. If you are not on the dining plan, you may have some flexibility. First, will your younger child eat from the adult menu? If so switch who gets the child meal and who gets the adult.

Second, counter service meals you can order what you want without regard to age. Some of the adult meals are huge so I know adults who order off of the children's menu.

Next, buffets are great because you can choose anything off the buffet. While you may have to pay the adult price, you know your child will eat something.

Finally, you could ask your server to simplify a meal if possible. This way it might not have all the extras which throw off picky eaters.

I would look with your children at the menus of the many restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resorts. You can check at the Disney site or at AllEars.net who has a nice description and pricing for restaurants at well.

Who knows maybe your children will surprise you and try something new. Disney really opened up my picker eaters palettes to the point one wanted ostrich this trip!
