We are staying 1 night in theSwan and I have linked the reserv. with my disney app. 1 - to get to EMH the morning of check in do we need to check in first or will the link on the app be enough - also Q2 can we get to EMH on the morning of checkout ?

Hello there, Peter! Welcome to the wonderful world of the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Extra Magic Hours are a great way to maximize your time visiting Walt Disney World Resort. One of the best parts of Extra Magic Hours is the fact that it is complimentary for any Guests staying at participating Walt Disney World Resort hotels - which includes Walt Disney World Swan hotel. The requirements for entrance to the theme parks during Extra Magic Hours are valid theme park admission and a MagicBand or Resort ID. Since you have connected your reservation with your My Disney Experience account, this should count as your “Resort ID” when arriving to any theme park. This means that a Cast Member will be able to scan either your MagicBand or Admission Card and verify that you are a Guest of Walt Disney World Swan Hotel prior to your actual check-in time. However, I would recommend having a copy of your reservation confirmation available just in case there is an error verifying your reservation via MagicBand or Admission Card.

You are also totally welcome to utilize Extra Magic Hours on the day in which you are checking-out. Since you are still technically a Guest of a Disney Resort hotel until you officially check-out, there should be no problem with you entering the parks during early morning Extra Magic Hours!

Hopefully this has answered your questions regarding Extra Magic Hours and let us know if we can help you with planning any other part of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
