staying at the movies resort and have booked supper at Captain Jack's in Downtown disney 6pm thefirst night. We can't check in until 3 pm ...wondering if this is worthwhile or if we should just use our Quick service meal and stay in the resort. Opinions?

Hi, Pat! I would absolutely keep that dinner reservation! Upon arriving, the first thing you will want to do is check-in at your Walt Disney World Resort. You can do this anytime on your arrival date.  Even if it is before the check-in time, you will go there to get your Key to the World card. It serves as your room key, park tickets, and dining card, if applicable. Your room will probably not be ready if you check-in before the set time, but you can leave your bags with luggage services, and head on over to Downtown Disney! Disney has a wonderful service that will call or text you to let you know when your room is ready. It's a great way to begin having all your Disney fun! Happy planning and have a magical vacation!
