    David Asked

We will be staying at the Grand Floridian for our upcoming February 2014 trip. We have 3 kids (ages 7,4,1) and are trying to decide if we need a  car or if the Disney transportation will be sufficient?

    David,

That is where we stay too, and we have never needed a car.

What we love is using Magical Express to get to/from the airport. The ride is fun, and not handling our bags is a nice treat.

Then when we are on property, we find transportation to be pretty convenient. We monorail to both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, and use the resort-to-park bus service to Hollywood Studios,Animal Kingdom, and Downtown Disney.

The only real challenge is if you want to go from your resort to a meal at certain other resort hotels. In many cases we are just a boat or monorail ride away, but on occasion they can require a bus to Downtown Disney, then a bus from there to the destination resort. But in our last four stays at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian we have not had to do that, so I don't think you will need to either.

BOTTOM LINE: Because of where you are staying, I would say you should not need to rent a car.

Write me back if I can help further!

    Have a magical vacation!
