Hi, We're staying at the Grand Floridian. Is there an easy way to get to the Fort Wilderness Resort for dinner? Thank you, Diane

    Hi David!

Welcome back!  Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is a great place to spend some time when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. With world class entertainment and delicious dining options, "The Fort" has much to offer, and not just for guests staying at the resort.

In my opinion, the best way to get to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort from Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is to ride the Monorail from your resort to the Magic Kingdom. Once at the entry to Magic Kingdom you can catch a boat that will take you to The Fort. The nice thing about the boat is that the marina is near the dining options at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.  This option can take between 35 minutes to an hour. So plan accordingly.  Another option would be a ride sharing service like Uber or Disney's Minnie Van Service. This option will take you to the entrance to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. From there you will need to catch an internal bus to get to The Settlement area where the major dining locations are located. While this option is faster, it is not nearly as adventurous as the Monorail to boat route.

While at Disney's Fort Wilderness, make sure and stop in at Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long! This no cost event happens each evening and features marshmallow roasting, cowboy songs, and dancing with your favorite chipmunks!

    See ya real soon,
