We will be staying at FW cabins. Our 2 adult children will be traveling with us. My son has down syndrome and can not walk far. My daughter is deafblind and walking on different surfaces can be hard. Will the buses be easy to us or recommend golf cart?

My family (including a daughter with Down syndrome) stayed at the Fort Wilderness cabins a couple of years ago, Michele.  I can tell you that walking distance from the cabins to bus stops varies according to where your particular cabin is located.  Some of the cabins were quite close to the bus stop, while others required a longer walk.  There is paved ground to walk on, so you wouldn't have to worry about your daughter walking on various surfaces.  My concern would be distance.  If I were you, I would be sure to have your special needs noted on your reservation.  At check-in, I would reiterate your needs and request a cabin within close proximity to the bus stop.  All that said, I would also tell you that Fort Wilderness is a sprawling resort and it might be a good idea (especially in your situation) to go ahead and reserve a golf cart.  If you have any desire to explore the resort grounds at all (ie., pony rides, beach, campfire, etc), a golf cart will certainly come in quite handy.  I'm happy to help if you have any further questions!  Enjoy your vacation.
