Staying for 2 full days only at MK in low season with 4 year old daughter (her 1st time). Do I stay 1 bedroom suite Bay Lake Tower or Nemo Suite Art of Animation? Extreme convenience vs Less Expensive, better Decor but more bus waiting time in low season?

    Hi Donald!

First trips to Walt Disney World are always extra special, and I think you have narrowed it down to two excellent choices! We have stayed in each of these resorts, and they both have a lot to offer. We have just returned from a stay in a Cars Suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and it really is a great value for such a spacious room. I definitely think the decor would be something any young Mouseketeer would enjoy. My kids especially loved that the dining table became a bed! Each night they had to take turns deciding who got to “sleep on the table.” If your main concern is value, I think this is the better choice.

If budget is not your number one priority, I think a 1 Bedroom Villa at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower will offer much more than a Family Suite. The location cannot be beat! Especially since you are planning on spending all of your time at Magic Kingdom, being able to walk back and forth to your resort makes the entire vacation so much more relaxing. Even if the buses aren’t crowded, you still need to spend time waiting for the bus, and factor in travel time. At the end of a long day, you could be back at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower before a bus even arrives to pick up Guests for other resorts. Disney’s Bay Lake Tower also offers a multitude of dining options, including a character meal at Chef Mickey’s, quick service options, and convenient access to dining at other Monorail Resorts. Staying at a Deluxe Villa Resort also means additional features such as a waterslide and hot tub at the pool, pool towels, a full kitchen and a washer and dryer in your 1 Bedroom Villa. While we really enjoyed our stay at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, we prefer to stay at a Deluxe Villa Resort whenever we can.

I hope that helps with your decision, Donald! Let us know what additional questions you have as you plan your daughter’s first trip. We love to help!
