we will be staying at fort wilderness and my wife is recovering from hip surgery. should we bring our own wheel chair it is not motorized.

    Hi Stephen,

It's always fun to hear from a fellow Bay Stater! You are welcome to bring your own wheelchair and I highly recommend it if your wife is going to need one on a daily basis. Non-motorized wheelchair rental is currently $12 per day and that can really add up. You'll also want to bring a doctors note to have on hand if you are planning on getting a Guest Assistance Card. While they don't always ask for a note, when I got a Guest Assistance Card on my last trip due to a torn achilles tendon, I was asked for a note. Thankfully, I had brought one with me.

If I can help you further, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Wishing you a wonderful vacation,

    Kaylene
