I will be staying at Fort Wilderness in October and have some health issues that prevent me from using Disney transportation to get to the Magic Kingdom. Will we be allowed to drive to the Contemporary and park there and walk over to the Magic Kingdom?

Hello Carolyn and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I'm delighted to know you've a magical upcoming stay planned at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground.  This is one of my favourite Disney Resorts and I know you're going to just love it there and I must say that for me the easiest and most relaxing way to get to the Magic Kingdom Park from 'The Fort' is via the Walt Disney World Water Transportation which can be boarded from the marina near the Settlement Depot.
There are several Parking options available to all Guests at Walt Disney World Resort and of course each Disney Theme and Water Park, Resort hotel and Disney Springs benefits from it's own parking lot where Guests staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel may indeed utilise complimentary parking.
However at present Guests may only park vehicles in a Disney Resort hotel parking lot for up to approximately 3 hours whilst they enjoy that Resort or have an Advanced Dining Reservation in a restaurant at that Resort.
I'm happy to share that Guests with a disability parking permit may utilise designated disabled parking lots which may assist in your transportation needs plus I thought you may also fine these Services for Guests with Disabilities to be a useful planning resource.
    Have a great Disney day.
