Hi, We will be staying at Fort Wilderness campground in a prefered site. Our first time for the campground. Is there any service we should consider tipping for? We have always tipped Mousekeeping but not sure about the campsites. Thanks

    Beverly:

Unlike the Disney resorts, your campsite is cleaned only upon departure.  The groundsmen wash off the concrete parking pad and may do some raking around the sand site, but this is all after you leave and there's no secure place to leave an appropriate tip.   Additionally, although the comfort stations are cleaned numerous times daily, there wouldn't be an adequate place there to leave a tip as you'd usually do in bathrooms at the resort.  So, rest easy.  To my knowledge, you won't be breaking any unwritten etiquette by not providing a tip when using the campground....

Something to note: One of the best ways you can compliment one of the cast members is to find out their name and followup with a letter or note at check-out.  On our last visit, we received a postcard in the mail directing us to a survey on the web that asked us about our Disney vacation experience.  One of the questions specifically asked for cast members who had provided us with unexpectedly wonderful service.  I wish I had written down the name of the very kind manager who helped us return our golf cart when it broke down....so if I can pass along that one piece of advice: get the names of anyone you find who goes beyond the ordinary!

Wishing y'all a magical vacation at the Fort!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
