    Terry from GA Asked

We are staying at Fort Wilderness and want to have a birthday party for a family member who is not staying there. There are about 10 guest. Do we need to do anything to arrange this and are there costs associated?

Hi Terry! Fort Wilderness Resort has two sections, The Campsites and The Cabins. You can easily enjoy a small birthday party for a friend or family member at either location as long as you adhere to the noise rules and common courtesy for your neighbors.

The campsites are set up to allow one extra vehicle on the pad so all guests would have to park in the front of the resort and take an internal bus to reach your site. You can set up tables and grill and other fun things right at your site. Remember to not venture the activities into the roads as cars and other RV's must continue to use the loops.

If you are staying in one of the newly refurbished cabins you will have even more room to plan a party. Each cabin has a grill and a picnic table on the deck. There are electrical outlets on the deck if you need to plug something in. Your kitchen is fully equipped and you can find necessities at the Trading Post that includes charcoal, drinks, and snacks. Many guests in the cabins also use a grocery delivery service so they do not have to hit the store when they arrive.

Feel free to decorate your cabin inside and out to make it festive. If you wish to get some help you can contact the Disney Florist and their dream makers will offer you some great ideas for a birthday celebration. Flowers, balloons, cakes, etc from them will cost extra.

You can consider getting some buckets of chicken from the Trails End Restaurant located in Fort Wilderness or you can grill some burgers and dogs. Whatever you do it will be a fun time!
