We are staying the first portion of our stay off property, then the last few nights on property. Will our parking be free the entire time, or just the days we are staying on property? what about the day we check in, before we arrive at the hotel?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mike!

You must be getting so excited now that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just a few weeks away. As complimentary parking at the Disney theme parks is only available to guests staying on property, you will need to pay to park during the first portion of your stay. However, you may definitely park for free from the morning of check-in day at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel until the evening of the day you check out. Just be sure to have your MagicBand or details of your hotel reservation handy when you pull up to the parking attendant who collects parking fees.

Keep in mind during the first portion of your trip that once you pay the parking fee at a Disney theme park, be sure to retain your receipt. If you choose to visit a different theme park later in the same day, you don't need to pay to park again. Just show your receipt from earlier in the day and the parking attendant will wave you through the gates without an additional fee. And, of course, you can always park for free if you are visiting Disney Springs. Thus, you may want to spend time at that shopping and dining paradise during the earlier portion of your trip.

Let us know if you have any additional questions regarding your upcoming trip. We'd love to help!

    Best wishes,
    Jill
