    Marty Asked

We will be staying at Disney World 2/1/12 thru 2/5/12. What tours would you recommend for our 5 year old granddaughter? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Moms Panel Marty!

I love that you're planning something special for your granddaughter. There are minimum age requirements for most all of the tours but there are a couple that she is old enough to participate in & might enjoy.

Disney's Family Magic Tour at the Magic Kingdom (MK) is a lot of fun for kids that age as they try to save the park by foiling the dastardly plans of a Disney Villain. Guests play an active role in the experience as you put on your detective hat, follow tricky clues, solve diabolical puzzles and engage in a lively scavenger hunt.  Bring your camera to capture some special moments.  MK theme park admission is required & is not included in the price of the tour.

The Behind the Seeds tour at Epcot offers a one-hour indoor walking tour of the greenhouses.  If your granddaughter enjoys gardening, this may be a good tour. In addition to learning about growing techniques, guests get to go alligator gazing & release lady bugs. She can learn how they grow plants without soil & see some really big fruits & vegetables. Epcot theme park admission is required & is not included in the price of the tour.

If I had to choice between the two, Disney's Family Magic Tour would get my vote. You can book either of the tours by calling 407-WDW-TOUR.  When you book, be sure to ask if they offer any types of discounts.  There have been times I've gotten a discount being an Annual Passholder or Chase Disney Visa Cardholder.

Please feel free to visit us as often as you'd like during your planning. It is our pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
