We will be staying at Disney All star movies resort from the 16th till the 20th December and want to leave to Miami the evening of the 20th. What would be the cheapest and safest way to get there If travelling with kids, we plan on staying for 3 nights.

Hi Terisha and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! A visit to the Walt Disney World Resort during the Holidays is so incredible! You’re going to love all the decorations at the theme parks!

I’m so glad you sent in this question. I live in Miami and I have made this trip a few different ways. Renting a car is a reasonably priced way to get to the most magical place on earth from Miami. It’s only about a three-and-a-half-hour drive. Once you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel, you can enjoy complimentary parking at all four theme parks during your vacation, but will have to pay nightly parking fees at your resort hotel.

When you fly out of South Florida, you have two options for airports. Miami International Airport or Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Flights are also very reasonable. I’ve been able to snag flights at just $65 per person. Remember that prices may be subject to change and depend on the time of year you travel. I think the best part of flying is that the trip is only about 45 minutes long!

Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport, you will get to enjoy a super convenient benefit of being a Disney Resort hotel guest. A complimentary ride to your Disney Resort hotel on Disney’s Magical Express!

Terisha, I hope I’ve given you a few options you can consider. Please feel free to come back to visit us if you have any additional planning questions. Helping you with the details of your next magical stay is our pleasure!
