We are staying at a Disney resort and are looking to add a dining plan. Can we pay for the dining plan with gift cards we already have?

Thanks for dropping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Courtney! I love all things Disney dining related, especially the Disney Dining Plan. For my family, when we travel to Walt Disney World, a Disney Dining Plan is a must, as we love having our meals and snacks budgeted ahead of time. There are so many wonderful restaurants, with exciting menus and unique theming, found throughout the theme parks, resorts and Disney Springs. The Disney Dining Plan makes it possible to enjoy a table service and quick service meal each day, not to mention indulge in some of the yummy snacks, like the ever-popular Dole Whip or my personal favorite, the cream cheese filled soft pretzel.  It makes me hungry just thinking about all of the delicious food in Walt Disney World.

I am excited to try the newest Dining Plan option recently unveiled at Walt Disney World: Disney Dining Plan Plus! If you haven’t already checked it out, it is worth taking a look at this new option when selecting the Dining Plan that will best suit your family. With this new plan, you have the flexibility of receiving two meal credits per night of your stay, using these credits in any combination of table service or quick service meals. I believe that this new option will come in handy, especially when you want to book some of the signature dining experiences that require two table service credits or when you want a table service breakfast and dinner on the same day. Just like the Disney Dining Plan, this option also includes two snack credits per day and a resort refillable mug.

You can easily add a Dining Plan to your existing reservation by calling (407) 939-5277 to speak with a Cast Member. A Cast Member will gladly assist you with making the modification to your reservation and allow you to pay for the Dining Plan using your Disney Gift Cards. I highly recommend that you make any advance dining reservations for your upcoming vacation as early as possible. I hope you have an incredible visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! Please stop back by if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions.
