We are staying at Disney POR this October and will be booking a preferred room. I had heard that Building 18 used to be a Smoking building. Do you know if this is true? Doubt we could stay there even with the renovations due to allergies if so.

Hello, Shae!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I am thrilled to hear that you are visiting Walt Disney World this coming October!  The sights and sounds during this time of year are simply MAGICAL.  I just know that you and your family are going to have a fabulous time.

I spoke with a Cast Member just to confirm my answer.  You will be happy to know that ALL buildings are smoke free.  There are a few designated smoking areas throughout the resort.  I would highly recommend calling back and requesting that your room not be anywhere close to a designated smoking area.  They will add that note to your reservation and do everything they can to accommodate your wishes.
