my dh and I are staying at CS in Sept. I'd love to book some character meals, but dh thinks it will be for kids. We both have a bit of 'britsh reserve' and don't like too much interaction, although we love meeting chacters in the parks. Do I book some?

    Immy,

Now I am a HUGE fan of the character interaction at a meal. Watching the kids, even other people's kids, react to the experience is overwhelming! I recommend it highly!

However, I think that your husband is probably right. The character experience is a pretty interactive one, and it is certainly kid-focused. As much as I don't want to suggest that it is an experience for only groups traveling with children, your husband is pretty much right on each count.

But here is the rub. When you come to Walt Disney World, you are supposed to be a kid! Even if you are 42, like me! So I suggest you and your husband compromise. I think you should book one character meal. This way you get the try out all the fun, and you can assess if it is the kind of experience that you will want to have in the future. If I had to recommend one for two adults, it would be Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Animal Kingdom, or perhaps Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Fort Wilderness. But whatever you do, pick one where there are characters that you enjoy!

    Have a magical vacation!
