We are staying in courtyard room at WL arriving Oct 2 at noon. Any suggestions on how to have a successful early check-in AND how to possibly luck in ti upgrading to concierge? We have a special needs 15 mo old and it would be a very nice start!!!

    Hi Jill!

Yeay! Your vacation is almost here! The Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort. I hope you love it too!

My best advice is to use the online check-in service for your resort stay. Indicate that your early arrival time during the process too. Hopefully that will let Disney know that you may be there early! Once you arrive on Disney property, head over to the Wilderness Lodge and check in. Hopefully your room will be ready, but if its not, you'll still be given your room keys (and park tickets & meal credits - if you've opted for those). Later Disney will text you, or you can call a special number, to find out what room you are in.

As for upgrades to concierge, I wish I knew!! While you can always ask about upgrades, I would assume that if you ask for the change, it will be at your cost. You never know when Disney will sprinkle some pixie dust, but I have to say - realistically - that while I've had lots of room upgrades, we've never been upgraded to the concierge floor as a surprise. Good luck, though! Hopefully you'll have more luck than me!

    Enjoy your trip!
