Staying at Coronado traveling with son in wheelchair to Hoop-De-Do. Will have our own vehicle. What is the easiest way to get there? Driving sounds complicated and seems like you can't park close. Is the bus the best choice? Is handicapped parking close?

It's not as complicated as it sounds, Diana.  I promise!  We almost always rent a vehicle for ease of travel around Disney World.  The difference between visiting Pioneer Hall at Fort Wilderness (where Hoop-De-Doo takes place) and another dining location is that you have to park your car just inside the resort entrance and take an internal bus back to Pioneer Hall.  The good news is that handicapped parking is available right across the street from the bus stop and the internal buses run quite frequently so you won't wait long.  My personal opinion is that you're definitely better off driving your personal vehicle to Fort Wilderness and taking the bus back to Pioneer Hall.  If you decide, instead, to fully rely on Disney transportation, you can either:

    a) take a bus to Epcot, transfer to a bus to Fort Wilderness.  Once you arrive at Fort Wilderness you will need to take an internal bus back to Pioneer Hall (the same bus you will take if you drive to Fort Wilderness).

    b) take a bus to Magic Kingdom.  Transfer to a boat to Fort Wilderness.  The boat launch drops near Pioneer Hall so an internal bus will not be necessary.

The easiest and quickest option is to drive yourself and take the internal bus.  Hope that helps!
