Staying at Y Club with DP. Is B/fast at Captains Grille a Buffet Meal? If so, what is the usual percentage for gratuity. Also, if we cannot secure reservations for any of our Service Meals, can we swap them for a Quick Service Meal instead?

Hello James and thanks for asking the Disney Parks Moms Panel such a great question.
You've already made a super decision by opting to stay at the delightful Disney's Yacht Club Resort; I just know you're going to love it there!
The Captain's Grille is a super tasty choice of Table Service restaurant at any meal-time and you'll be happy to know that during breakfast Guests can choose to dine either a la carte or from the bountiful breakfast buffet.
As a general rule of thumb for good service Guests should budget to leave around 15-20% gratuity and for tables of 6 or more at Walt Disney World Resort 20% gratuity is automatically added.
Making Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days ahead of time via My Disney Experience or by speaking with a Cast Member on 0800 16 90 748 sometimes isn't always possible; so if you do find yourself with spare Table Service dining credits you should be able to swap them for Quick Service - to my knowledge this is the only permissible swap currently on the Disney Dining Plan.

If I can help sprinkle any extra pixie dust onto your upcoming holiday to Walt Disney World Resort please pop back to ask me another question.
    Have a great Disney day.
