we will be staying at the carribean resort this summer. Are the pools salt or chlorine. if they are chlorine are do any of the other resorts have salt pools? my son breaks out in head to toe hives from chlorine.

    Hi Alissa!

I am so sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but all nine of the pools at the Caribbean Beach Resort are chlorinated.  In fact, the main pirate pool is VERY heavily chlorinated, so you may want to avoid that area if the fumes irritate him as well.  I have heard that the pools at Coronado Springs are the first pools to use Bromine, but I can't seem to verify that.  From what I understand, due to the extremely heavy usage of the pools, chlorine is the most effective means of treating the water.  I wish that I had better news for your little man - although I am sure that he will find TONS of other fantastic ways to have fun at the most magical place on Earth!
