We are staying at Caribbean beach resort and saw that there is a new mermaid school activity that you can purchase. Can you tell me a little bit about this and if it is worth the cost? Thanks in advance.

Hi there, Matherine! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is actually the first Disney Resort hotel I ever had the pleasure of staying at with my family so it holds a very special place in my heart. Within the last couple of years, this resort has undergone a massive overhaul that has reimagined its centerpiece, Old Port Royale, and seen the addition of many new dining locations. Though it has experienced quite a bit of change since my first stay, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort remains the perfect Disney Resort hotel for Guests that seek a combination of relaxation and adventure!

Speaking of adventure, the Mermaid School is an extra offering Guests are now able to book! This experience is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Fuentes del Morro pool one hour prior to pool opening. During this instructor-led class, Guests four years and older will learn to swim while wearing an exclusive mermaid tail! Over the course of an hour, you will get to engage in such activities as diving for sunken treasure and swimming through hoops. The cost of this class is $50.00 plus tax, though this price is subject to change. Space is limited so be sure to stop by the Concierge Desk in Old Port Royale in order to sign up!

The Mermaid School is an exceptional enhancement for any fan of Ariel! It’s also a great way to spend a morning having some aquatic fun at your Disney Resort hotel.

Hopefully this provides a bit more information on the Mermaid School experience at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort!
