We are staying at Caribbean Beach on February vacation. Is their a better island to stay at than another. We are traveling with 4 children 5Mos, 2, 9, And 11.Thanks for your help. Lisa

Hi Lisa!  I'm guessing that with four young children, it may be important for you to be close in proximity to the food court area.  If that is the case, you may consider reserving a "preferred building."  Trinidad North and Martinique are the islands closest to Old Port Royale (the hub of the resort that houses the food court, sit-down restaurant, and shops).  In Martinique, buildings 26, 25 and 24 are closest.  In Trinidad North, buildings 31, 32, and 33 would be ideal.

Unfortunately, the resort's main themed pool will be closed for refurbishment in February.  If the weather is nice during your stay though, and you want to take the kids for a swim, keep in mind that Disney is adding waterslides for children at both the Jamaica and Barbados village pools.  Enhanced children's recreational activities will be offered as well.  If water play is more important than proximity to the food court, perhaps you should consider requesting a room in one of these locations at check-in.

As far as bus transportation, no one village outweighs another when it comes to travel.  Of course, some rooms are closer than others to bus stops.  If this is a priority for your family, I recommend making note of it at check-in and requesting that the Cast Member place you in a room close to a bus stop.

Hope that helps!  Have a magical time during your stay in the "islands!"
