We will be staying at Camp Wilderness (in our own RV). How would a Disney babysitter work? Would a person stay in the RV with our children for the handful of hours?

    Hi Tia,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I love a stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. The resort is such a wonderful campground, and has so much to offer in the way of recreation, from horseback and pony riding to a nightly sing-along and campfire with Chip 'n' Dale. It is truly one of my favorite places to stay for a Walt Disney World vacation.

There are a couple of options for child care at Walt Disney World. The first are the Children's Activity Centers. These are located at select Walt Disney World resort hotels and are typically open in late afternoon and evening hours. My daughter loved an evening at a Children's Activity Center when she was younger! She enjoyed all of the fun activities and having dinner at the center. We joked that she enjoyed our adult nights out as much as we did! Children must be ages 3 to 12 to attend (ages 4 to 12 for Camp Dolphin at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel). To make a reservation at a Children's Activity Center, call 407-939-3464, or 407-934-4241 for Camp Dolphin.

In order to have in-room child care at Walt Disney World, you can contact Kid's Nite Out at 1-800-696-8105. This company can provide in-room child care. We have also used this option for our daughter, and she was always pleased to play with the babysitter that they sent. The website for Kid's Nite Out is kidsniteout.com. I called to check for you, and they let me know that they would be able to provide a babysitter to come to your RV at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.

Please do let us know if you have any further questions, Tia!
