We are staying at the Boardwalk Villas and have 8:10 breakfast reservations at Chef Mickey on 11/27/12. What is the best way to get from the Boardwalk to the Contemporary and how early should we leave? Thanks for your help!

    Hi Melissa!

The Boardwalk Villas are absolutely wonderful!  My family loves the atmosphere, amenities and location.

The best way we've found to get to the Contemporary Resort from the Boardwalk using the complimentary Disney Transportation System is to take the bus from the Boardwalk Resort to the Magic Kingdom.  Once you arrive at the Magic Kingdom by bus it is a very short walk over to the Contemporary Resort.

Or, you can walk over to the Monorail station at the Magic Kingdom from the bus stop and ride the Resort Monorail to the Contemporary Resort.  However, the walk to the Contemporary is possibly even shorter than the walk to the Monorail, plus you won't be waiting in line for the Monorail.

You may find that you have to wait for a bus for as long as 20 minutes.  Add on your travel time and the time it would take you to walk, and I would leave at least 45 minutes ahead of your reservation time, possibly even an hour.

I hope you have a wonderful time at Chef Mickey!  It is absolutely a treat for everyone!
