Hi, we will be staying at the Beach Club and have a early breakfast reservation at Chef MIckeys at the Comtemporary at 7:30am. I’m wondering the fastest way to get there. Should I plan on taking a Minnie Van/Lyft/Uber? do I really need to leave 1.5 hrs B4?

Hi, Cristina! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hEAR that you will be having breakfast at Chef Mickey's!  My family and I have a tradition of starting off the first morning of every Walt Disney World vacation with Chef Mickey's breakfast.  We love the fun, lively atmosphere, and, of course, the Mickey waffles!

When using Walt Disney World transportation, it is recommended to allow quite a bit of time to reach your destination simply because timing is unpredictable.  Traffic can delay buses, or if a bus is full, you may need to wait for another.  It rarely takes 90 minutes to travel around Walt Disney World property, but it is always better to arrive early than to be late for a reservation.

Normally, you could take the bus from Disney's Beach Club Resort to Magic Kingdom Park, then either walk or take the monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  However, since your breakfast reservation is early in the morning, and buses do not start running until 45 minutes prior to park opening, this may not be an option for you.  I would recommend using the Minnie Van Service to get you to your breakfast reservation on time.

You can request and pay for a Minnie Van using the Lyft app.  The Minnie Van Service is one of the quickest and most convenient ways to travel around Walt Disney World property.  I love that Minnie Vans are driven by Cast Members, and those red and white polka dot vehicles are adorable.  Minnie Vans begin operating at 6:30 a.m., so they are the perfect way to travel to a breakfast reservation.

Enjoy your breakfast at Chef Mickey's!
