    Frances from CT Asked

Staying at the Art of Animation. We have dinner reservations at Mickey's backyard BBQ. How much time do we need to for travel between the resort and the BBQ? We have the dinner package can we use our credits for the Fantasmic dinner package?

Greetings, Frances and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so pleased to hear that you have exciting Disney Dining plans on your horizon.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ at The Campsites at Fort Wilderness Resort promises to be a fun barbeque buffet and travel from Disney's Art of Animation Resort can be done by:

-take a Disney Transportation bus to Disney Springs, transfer to a FORT WILDERNESS Resort bus, exit at the entrance and take an INTERNAL shuttle to The Outdoor Pavilion (about a 45-minute ride from the entrance of the resort)

-take a Disney Transportation bus to Disney's Magic Kingdom Park, head over to the Ferryboat Launch at the base of Disney's Magic Kingdom Park and take the ferryboat to The Campsites at Fort Wilderness Resort (the ferryboat takes, at least, 30-minutes because of stops at other Disney Resort Hotels along the way) from the dock, it's a quick walk over to The Outdoor Pavilion.

*Please arrive at least 30-minutes before the start of the dinner show and allow a minimum of 2-hours or more travel time from your Disney Resort Hotel.

Currently, the Fantasmic! Dinner Package can be redeemed through the 2016 Disney Dining Plan keeping in mind that for The Hollywood and Vine and Mama Melrose's Restaurante Italiano each require (1) One Table-Service Credit. The Hollywood Brown Derby currently requires (2) Two Table-Service Credits. Your VIP Seating voucher will be presented to you at your meal.

I hope this information is helpful and we would be pleased to assist you further with your vacation planning in the near future.
