Staying at AofA end of Sept. w/ 4 adults & 2 kids (ages 4 & 2). To get to MK & EPCOT, recommend taking the Disney bus or taking my parents' car (we are flying in/they are driving down) to park at parks each day? Would like to weigh options!

    Hi Jody,

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I know you must be looking forward to your upcoming vacation! My family loved staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. It's such a fun place for the whole family. I really think you will love it!

Something you may or may not know about this Resort is that it has dedicated busses to and from each park. This means the bus will take you directly from the Resort to the parks without stopping at any other Resorts on the way there or back. This is really convenient for families and especially those with young children who most likely will need to load a stroller on the bus.

We tend to prefer using Disney Bus Transportation but I know that isn't the case for everyone. Because of the location and ease of parking at Epcot, you may prefer driving and parking there when you visit. That said, because of the added time to take the monorail or ferry from the Ticket and Transportation Center to Magic Kingdom Park, I suggest taking the bus, which will bring you right to the Main Entrance.

Either way, if you plan to arrive at any of the parks at a certain time, go ahead and build in about an hour for travel time so you don't feel rushed.

Please let us know if you have any other planning questions, Jody. Wishing you a pixie-dusted vacation with your family!
