i am staying at the animal kingdom lodge for 5 nights. we have base tickets for 4 days and the regular dining. i believe this includes 1 snack, 1 quick service and 1 table meal. my question is-is this based on how many nights you stay?

Yes, if you purchase the dining plan, the number of credits you receive is based on the number of nights of your stay. If you have the basic dining plan and are staying at WDW for five nights, each person in the room (age three and over) will receive 5 snack, 5 counter service and 5 table service meal credits. You can use your credits at restaurants both in the resorts and in the theme parks. You can also use them in any order you want. For example, you could use three counter service credits per person on one day of your trip and none on another. Or you could use two counter service credits per person at a signature restaurant. The choice is up to you.
