I will be staying at animal kingdom lodge and have a dinner reservation at wilderness lodge our first night at the resort, what is my best option for transportation from one resort to another.

    Hi Nicholas!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. You’re visiting two of my favorite resorts on your first night – how awesome!

Have you heard about Minnie Van service? These magical vehicles can transport guests staying at select Disney Deluxe Resorts between various points on property; at the time I’m writing this, the cost is $20 per ride. The Minnie Van service operates through the Lyft app; just ask a friendly Cast Member at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge to help you activate Minnie Van service (they have a special code they provide, which links your My Disney Experience app to the Lyft app). Once that’s activated, you can use your Lyft app to request Minnie Van service throughout your stay. Traveling by Minnie Van could be a really fun way to kick off your Disney trip!

Nicholas, Disney bus transportation doesn’t operate resort to resort, so your other option would be to take a Disney bus to Magic Kingdom Park and then take the water taxi to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. This definitely won’t be your fastest option, but it can be a really lovely way to travel, as I find the scenic boat ride to be very relaxing.

    Have a magical vacation!
