We are staying at 1 of the All-Star resorts plan to catch a bus to Magic Kingdom Where does the bus drop you off? Will we still be able to ride monorail? (My 5 year old loves the monorail, but we are traveling with 2 this time and plan to use the buses.)

    Hi Katie,

There are lots of ways to be sure your little one gets to take a spin on the monorail. The bus from the All Star Resorts will drop you at the depot near the front entrance of the Magic Kingdom. If you want, you can keep walking past the entrance and hop on the monorail for a circle around Seven Seas Lagoon.

There are two monorail routes near Magic Kingdom: the resort line and the express. The express stops only at the Transportation and Ticket Center before returning to the Magic Kingdom. The resort line also stops at the Contemporary, the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian resorts so it obviously takes a bit more time.

If you decide to go straight into Magic Kingdom from the bus, you can always take a monorail break during the day. We often leave Magic Kingdom midday for a meal, snack or a little shopping at one of the resorts on the monorail line.

If you want a longer monorail ride, you can transfer to the Epcot monorail at the Transportation and Ticket Center. The round-trip will take 20 minutes or so. Or you can exit the monorail at Epcot and catch the bus back to your resort there.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Please let us know if we can help in any other way. Enjoy the monorail and all the time spent with your family at Walt Disney World!
