    If I stayed outside the Resort area near Downtown Disney, is there a shuttle run by Disney that picks up people at Downtown Disney and takes them to the Parks?

    The buses from Downtown Disney do not go directly to the four parks. Probably so that people don't use Downtown Disney as a free parking alternative to the theme park parking lots. But those buses do go to the different resorts, so you could take one of these buses to a resort, then to a park. My best matches are as follows;

    Magic Kingdom: Bus to a Monorail resort (Contemporary, Polynesian, or Grand Floridian), then monorail to the Magic Kingdom

    Hollywood Studios or Epcot: Bus to an Epcot Resort Area resort (Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan, Dolphin, or BoardWalk Inn), and then boat to either park

    Animal Kingdom: Bus to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, then bus to the Animal Kingdom park

    As long as you are not parking at the Downtown Disney lots to avoid paying the daily parking fee at the parks, you should be good. Since parking spaces are at a premium at this popular shopping district, you just don't know what kind of monitoring is done for all day parking. You would not want to come back and find your ride missing!

    Have a magical vacation!
