We are going to stay at a WDW resort for my son's 2nd birthday and first Disney trip. My girlfriend said there are lots of extras we can enjoy if we let it be known. Is that true and what do I do? We have a 4 day park hopper pass.

    Angela,
Many of the Cast Members will go out of their way to provide a little extra magic for your son's birthday. If you have his celebration noted on your hotel reservation, he may be surprised with a balloon and/or signed picture from a character.

If you note the birthday on your dining reservations, the birthday boy may get a free dessert or other recognition. None of the extras are guaranteed but they often happen at WDW when you let the Cast Members know of your celebration.

You can also stop by City Hall when you arrive the Magic Kingdom to pick up a birthday button for your son. He's sure to get lots of special wishes as you tour the park.

Enjoy your first Disney trip. I hope it's all you dream it to be!
