Mom With Kids After Run

We would like to stay in a resort. We have 2 elderly grandparents who can't walk very far, & 2 girls ages 3 & 5, along with 4 adults who love to sunbathe, as well as attend all the theme parks. Which resort would be the best place to stay?

I'd recommend the Yacht Club for your group.  It connects to Epcot via a short walk or boat ride, and is just a boat ride away from Hollywood Studios as well.  It opens into a 'back entrance' to Epcot, in World Showcase, which leads to less walking when touring the park.  It is also very easy to return to the resort for a mid-day break.

The pool there, Stormalong Bay, is spectacular for children to play in or adults to enjoy the lazy river (ok, maybe more of a lazy stream - it's not huge, but still very cool).  It is hands down the best pool on Disney property.  It's also closely monitored so non-resort guests won't be making their way into the pool area, so it does offer privacy in that regard.

The atmosphere at this resort is very laid-back and elegant, and I think it would appeal to your grandparents.  It's definitely family friendly (my family loves to stay there) and offers something for all ages.  It's also located near the Boardwalk area, with lots of entertainment for kids and adults, and many restaurants to choose from.

    Have a great vacation!
