We would like to stay on property, however due to my grand daughter's sudden medical complications we may need to cancel at the last minute. Any way we can book a reservation, cancel at the last minute and not loose our money? Can only afford one trip.

    Hi Deborah!

I recommend making a room only reservation and not a package reservation, which consists of a room and park tickets.  A room only reservation only requires a one night deposit and you can cancel it as late as 5 days before you are supposed to arrive without any penalty.  A package reservation, however, requires more money up front and you have to cancel it at least 45 days in advance of your check-in date.

A room only reservation gives you a lot more flexibility.  You can always get park tickets once you arrive at Walt Disney World.  About the only negative of a room only reservation is you can't get the Disney Dining Plan with a room only reservation.  However, you could get around that by calling Disney a couple of days before you arrive and turning your room only reservation into a complete package with park tickets and dining.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
