We want to stay at an on-site hotel in about a year and a half. What are good ones with a 4 year old and a 14 year old?

    Hi Courtney,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! We are so glad you stopped by.

Courtney, I'm so excited to hear that you're planning on staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel with your family. Here are some of my family's favorites:

We love Disney's Art of Animation family suites in the Value category.  The theming is fantastic, the suites have some extra elbow room with a queen bed and two full-sized beds, two bathrooms, plus the adults get a room to themselves with a door that closes for privacy.  The Big Blue Pool is a wonderful place to cool off and take a swim while soaking in the Finding Nemo atmosphere.

In the Moderate category, I suggest Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.  The standard rooms there are newly refurbished and have two queen beds; some of these rooms can sleep up to five with a small Murphy bed (perfect for your youngest). Lots of pirate themed things here, including a pool that is reminiscent of a Spanish fort with two large waterslides!

The Deluxe category has so many incredible choices; it's tough to choose just one resort.  I recommend Disney's Yacht Club Resort for many reasons. First, the rooms are spacious and beautiful; the resort pool, Stormalong Bay, is amazing and has a phenomenal waterslide.  This resort has several restaurants, is within walking distance to Epcot, and is just across the way from Disney's Boardwalk, with even more dining and entertainment options.

Courtney, I hope you find the resort that's practically perfect for you and your family.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
