If I stay at a Downtown Disney Hotel like the Best Western or B Resort & Spa, do I still get the ability to book dining reservations 180 days prior, and fast passes early like I would if I stayed at say Pop Century?

Hi, Sandra! Thanks for stopping by to see us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The resorts in the Lake Buena Vista area near Downtown Disney have lots of great perks for their guests, including shuttles to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and of course, a short walk to the fun of Downtown Disney. We stayed in one a few years ago, and I loved being able to look out over Downtown Disney and even spy some of the nightly fireworks shows in the distance.

These "neighbor" hotels aren't considered to be on Disney property, though, so you'll follow the guidelines for offsite Guests.

Disney dining reservations aren't expressly connected to a stay in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, so you make them up to 180 days in advance, regardless of where you're staying. However, Guests staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel do have the benefit of making dining reservations up to 180 days in advance plus an additional 10 days after that - meaning if you stay on Disney property, you can make your reservations for each day of your vacation at once. If you stay offsite, you must make those 180-day advance reservations one day at a time.

Similarly, FastPass+ selections are available to Guests staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel up to 60 days in advance. Since the hotels neighboring Downtown Disney aren't on Disney property, those Guests can make FastPass+ selections up to 30 days ahead.

I hope this helps in your planning, Sandra. Please do visit us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
